Yes! When I think of loss and mourning I also think of “And Jesus wept.” He knew the end from the beginning, yet he wept with his friends! It’s a powerful example to us all of how to handle the loss of loved ones, and how to mourn with those who mourn. Instead of platitudes and well-meaning phrases, simply weeping with them is what we are to do.

I also like to find a way to tell the ones who were left behind how much I loved and missed the one that is now gone. Not in a morose or overbearing way; just a casual memory. I want them to know that I remember, and that I still feel the loss.
