This meant so much to me. Randomly came across it while laying in bed after dropping my oldest son off to school. I have recently gone through what you have, my husband got injured and we ended up losing our place and car and living in a room (my husband, 3 kids and I) at my sisters. I will most defently pay foward when I am blessed. ? your amazing

It’s also easy to just pick an area in your hometown that you think is dirty, and either go with just your own kids or ask another family or two to come with you to clean it up. All you need is gloves and garbage bags. I did this with my kids over spring break one year, and while it probably wasn’t their favorite thing they did that vacation, they were reasonably cheerful and we cleaned up 4 big bags of trash from a nature trail near the library.

Thank you so much for this timely post. We recently paid off our credit card. And while we don’t have an over-abundance of extra cash, because we are having to save up to replace our (very old, paid-off) cars, we do have some extra that we can share. I will be looking into the charities you linked to, as well as participating in RAoK day.

These are all such amazing ideas! I’m glad that you’ve been able to find simple ways to give back. We have received little things like people paying for our groceries before, too. And my husband always likes to do Secret Santa kinds of things for families in need around Christmas. Thanks for sharing!
