In reply to <a href="https://homecleaningfamily.com/hardest-part-about-fasting/comment-page-1/#comment-2303">Michelle</a>.

Awe! Thanks Michelle! I'm glad to help! And I like the term "hangry." Very funny and sadly very true. And, it's never a problem to bloom late, as long as you bloom. :)

I'm excited that I found you on the Faith Filled Fridays Link Up! I'm also LDS & actually just fasted for the first time in a looooooong time today because I have been nursing &/or pregnant. The hardest part about fasting for me is that both my husband and I get "hangry" (angry because we're hungry). For quite a while I wondered why God would allow us to be angry &/or suffer while we are trying to do what is right. Haha, I know... But, today, I realized (yes... today... I'm a late bloomer) that it's a choice. Not always an easy choice, but a choice to be happy, sad, hangry, etc.

I love that you said, "So, at one point, I stopped thinking about the Fast as something you have to give up, and more as something you can do". It makes it much more of a positive experience & I'm sure Heavenly Father appreciates that.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm glad I found you... I'll be following you on twitter!

I am partially hypoglycemic, so going 24 hours isn't actually a possibility most of the time. I would definitely say just being grumpy, tired, and sick feeling is the hardest part!
