Sanitizer is in my car and I am a freak about using it once I walk out of a store. I still got the flu a few months ago. I always wipe with the wipes at the store to clean the cart. So I think not matter how you try, if someone contacts you prior or during you are going to get the flu. Mine was just 3 days of aches and paints.
My son’s 7 hour of heaving was really hard on him, and I can’t imagine how any elderly person could have lived through it.

My son just got the flu this week, no one sick at work, eating food at home. Get’s sick and throws up for hours each hour over 7 times in one night. Worst flu ever and he got a flu shot. So it proves they pick and guess at the flu that will be the strain this year, and boy did they get it wrong.

These are great tips! Sadly for me, no matter what I do, I get sick. I’ve honestly been sick with a cold or the flu off and on since September (right now is the worst bout I’ve had with it. I can barely think straight!) I think the key is avoiding sick people like the plague. At least I’m out of nursery now!

Great tips, we definitely need to put them into use. My son and I didn’t get the flu shot because we have been sick. Now he has the flu and it is breaking my heart.

I always use the store wipes to wipe down the cart- you never know who used it last or what nasty germs they may have left behind!

In reply to Elizabeth Lund. I know what you mean Elizabeth! Sometimes despite doing these things, you'll still get sick. It stinks! I do think if kids washed their hands more (and then kept them away from their faces) it would help a lot, but the chances of that happening 100% of the time are nil!

These are true, but sometimes there is little you can do when it is going around so rampantly. I do these things, and we still got sick. It has been one thing after another for the past three weeks at our house, but I think we are through it for now (knock on wood). I hope so! I am really working at getting my little ones to wash their hands. That is the best thing I can think of to help!
