I am very grateful!! I knew a C-section was always a possibility even still with head down babies and previous successes, etc. but I really wanted to try vaginal 100% before agreeing to surgery which has its own set of risks. But, i know there are never any guarantees in childbirth, and so my son had to be in the NICU for six days, even though a good sized full-term twin. It happened with my first set of twins too – one went to the NICU. But, yes, I am grateful everything did go well with the actual birth part. I’m sorry you had to deliver a baby that was lifeless! That’s terrifying for sure! So glad he made it through. But, I would NOT beat yourself up about his birth. You never know how things will go and turn out, and it is NOT your fault.

I had Twins vaginally and later wished I would have done the C section. My second baby was born completely lifeless when the doctor pulled him out by his feet. It was super scary! He also spent 5 days in the NICU. He is 10 now. He tends to get very sick when he gets a respiratory virus. I don’t if that’s weak lungs left over from birth. I thought I was doing the right thing at the time but after what happened to him I wonder if a c section would have been safer. I felt super guilty after my twin birth feeling like I should have done it differently. It was a very hard thing to deal with. So I kind of agree with your doctors even though I think they should have kept their mouths shut! I think you should be VERY grateful that things went so well and not take it for granted. It could have gone like my birth but thankfully it didn’t! Congratulations on those beautiful healthy babies!
