My daughter just got a kidbox for her son and the clothes were very nice but too small she sent the box back and as it says you dont have to pay unless you keep some or all pieces..well she sent back whole box and the bill also said zero nothing owed …well to her horror her checking account was just charged 300 ..yes three hundred dollars i was wondering if anyone else had this happen..and that was only box ever recieved …

As an up-date, they did send me a replacement item in place of the Jessica Simpson set. It was a 7-For-All-Mankind jeans and sweater top set, nice quality and cozy looking! That upped the value and variety of the box there for me, so I am super happy now with the overall selection. Customer service was extremely helpful, so they get a lot of brownie points there. To top it off, ordering my free Dreambox was easy – so I got a robe, three pairs of pajamas, a hooded towel poncho, a book, and a toothbrush all for free! Two of the pairs of PJs were nice quality cotton jammies, the robe was a nice quality one which should fit her for years. The toothbrush was nothing special, lol. My least favorite pajamas were some DC Supergirl branded ones – they were just super tight/small compared to the others so I plan to pack them away for the next kid.

Overall I am pretty impressed, and going to get the New Year’s Box when it ships out soon. 🙂

Mixed Feelings. Styling itself was great – all the choices are items my daughter will love, I’ll love to have her try, or that I would at least consider if I saw on sale. The biggest miss styling wise was a boatneck cheetah print top – I would have much rathered a sweatshirt or shirt with a picture of a cat than the all over print, but it was a minor miss. So many of the outfits were super cute!! Where the box fell flat though was variety, durability, and seasonal appropriateness.

Not season appropriate: I got a winter box but only one item (my favorite, a gorgeous Losan sweaterdress) was warm!! I got *five* pairs of thin leggings in the box but no proper pants (not even fleece lined leggings), and several long sleeve but thin tops. The ‘sweater’ tops were fashion sweaters – not warm. My second favorite item, a gorgeous Design History black dress with a tulle overlay with gold stars, was a very springy style with a thin cotton underdress and short butterfly sleeves. Cute as can be – but definitely not warm and cozy for winter!

Variety – As I mentioned, I got five pairs of leggings. Three of these came in coordinated outfit sets with tops and two in a stand alone pack of two. Why so many? Why no proper pants? I did mention liking ‘coordinating outfits’ so this might be partially my fault – but I also said durable. I really wish the two pack had been a pair of jeans or warm pants. One top of the three shirts that came with leggings, I also got a fourth shirt (the boatneck cheetah that wasn’t my style.) I really wish it had been something else, something warm, like a sweatshirt, sweater, vest, or coat. Even a hat/mittens or fuzzy sock set would have added some variety.

Durability – Where to start? Many of the items I got were not ‘durable’ as I mentioned in my notes, but were ‘fast-fashion’ meant to look cute but not to play hard in long term. I can’t see them lasting through several kids. One thin, poorly made Jessica Simpson outfit (sweater look thin top and thin jeggings) is already fuzzing and pilling as my daughter wears it around the house today. The button on the jeggings flew right off as I put it on her for the very first time, too! (It was a button for looks, not use, but she was still quite sad that “button fall off!”) I’m really worried about the second Jessica Simpson set (super cute in it’s cream and blue tones) as I have had issues with other Jessica Simpson items in the past which is why I don’t buy them anymore. They look cute but the fabric doesn’t last! And I got two sets in this box. 🙁 And while the Miki B and Bebe items are probably fine for fashionable clothes going out and about, they aren’t what I would consider heavy duty or good play clothes.

So I am really on the fence about future boxes. This box had two items I loved immensely (Losan sweater dress and Design History Star dress) which would have been $84 together at full retail – more than the cost of keeping the whole box. It had a few items I liked (Jessica Simpson cream/blue set – hope it lasts but the feminine styling is so cute; Bebe thin sweater top and leggings (too thin for winter, but the roses are adorable,) a couple OK items (Miki B top and leggings) and the terribly made outfit I could have lived without (Jessica Simpson Star print top and jeggins which is already falling apart on Day 1.) The styling was good as far as pinning down my likes and what my daughter likes to wear, but there wasn’t really anything besides the Sweater Dress which fit with this being a ‘Winter’ Box. Many of the outfits were fast-fashion and not durable pieces which will carry me through several kids – which defeats the whole purpose of paying for ‘nicer’ brands I wouldn’t normally get.

Fortunately, trying it out is pretty risk free so I will probably get another box in future and give it another chance, – but it will need to be really impressive to become a long term staple at near $100 a box and send out clothing of better quality than the cheaper brands I usually buy.

I have not found that to be the case. Do you have any evidence for such a strong claim?

Yes, I am curious at to what style was chosen as well!! Btw she looks absolutely adorable in each outfit!

We ended up keeping all of the clothes! She looks so great in them!
