I found this a posting so any years after you wrote it! But I want to share this experience with you. Our family loves to hike in the nearby mountains. A favorite hike was into a canyon to a lovely stream running through a little meadow and under a beautiful maple tree. In 2017 , there was a wildfire higher up the mountain. A flash flood scrubbed the canyon down to bedrock. It now looks like the Grand Canyon. We think it takes eons for change. They teach that in school. But it can literally happen over night. Science doesn’t always get it right.

Just a few comments to help your understanding about Noah’s Ark.

The environment still technically, for the most part, being in Semi-Edenic condition, the odds of anything needing a veterinarian is quite unlikely, though if needed, its important to realize that Noah was 500 years old and much smarter than anyone alive today can imagine. For the same reason he would have known how to feed and clean up after them all, efficiently.

More good info here:
https://answersingenesis.org/noahs-ark/how-could-noah-fit-the-animals-on-the-ark-and-care-for-them/

The animals wouldn’t have been consumed or attacked, Genesis 9 makes it known that before the flood, at least humans weren’t eating animals, it seems probably that animals weren't eating other animals either.
“And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.” (Genesis 9:2-3)

Also note that Noah did not have to gather any of the animals. Genesis 6:20 says they “will come to you to keep them alive.”

It is also noteworthy that if the author of Genesis was Moses, as is traditionally understood, they he would have used an Egyptian cubit, measuring 20.5 inches, instead of the traditional Hebrew measurement of 18 inches, this would make the boat 512.5 feet long. Interestingly this is the size of the boat found in Turkey.

Hope this is helpful, keep digging. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16)

Thanks Jeremy! I think having doubts is part of living and growing in the gospel. I don't understand everything I read in the scriptures, but I think that good. It makes me wonder, question, and ultimately grow.
