Thanks for sharing such an unknown fact with us. I’m sure that there are many such people like me out there, who were not aware of the fact that Vinegar can be very useful to remove rust from metals, cast iron, clothes etc. Thanks for sharing this information with us.

Just wanted to say…I worked for a pretzel bakery…..salt rats metal…we had aluminum trucks for that reason so I dunno how good the adding a cup of salt works…..just saying…ty

In reply to Tommy D.. Sorry I just saw this! I would say go for the one with more if you are removing rust. Either one will work, but the higher concentration might not take as long.

Thanks for this advice! I’m at the supermarket now and there are two types of white vinegar: vinegar with 10% alcohol and distilled vinegar with 5% alcohol. Which is more effective?
