Thanks for your vote of confidence! I hope I am being brave to homeschool, and not stupid! ha ha ha. I'm sure I'll find people to help. I'm not usually (too) shy about asking for help when I do really need it. And a single baby is much easier than twins. :)

Oh my my my! Well first congrats and hey after having twins, one might be a breeze! I am sure you will do great! I would love to homeschool our 5. I'm not brave enough for that. I hope the people will come later when you need the help! And if not you will figure it out one day at a time (or maybe one hour at a time:-) ) You can do it!

I agree!! It makes a difference when the help comes. Everyone wants to help right away, but often you don't really need it until a little later. We asked that meals not be brought until after my mother-in-law left after we had our twins, because she was helping cook meals (and making a few we could store too). My husband has been home this time around, but he'll go back to school/work in a week, and then I'll be home by myself with the 4 kids, and homeschooling for the first time! It might get a little crazy, and having a little extra help THEN would be a huge blessing.

This is such a great post! and so true. My husband did everything after our twins were born and it was really hard on him. We did have alot of great family and friends help out in some of the other ways mentioned! I thought I would add a thought for people to ask the new parents. Make sure you find out WHEN they will probably need help, like when one of the parents goes back to work. My hubby was off work for 3 weeks. So he was home to help and figure it all out. That is when most people brought stuff and helped us. But then when he went back to work, it was just me! One of our friends waited about a month and brought a dinner then and it was so helpful to have that break from trying to cook in the middle of craziness.
