Only got an hour or two to spend together? Then you have time to date thanks to these super quick date night ideas!
We’ve all been there when you get stuck in the proverbial rut in your marriage and you can’t remember the last time you had some decent quality time together. Between taking care of the kids, your career, and managing a budget all at once, it’s easy to put date night on the backburner.
Whenever I feel myself and my husband getting a little too busy with life, I make a point to try and find quick and easy ways to make time for us.
Here are a few super quick date night ideas that can be done in about an hour, and have become quite handy for us when we are strapped for time. A short date is better than no date!

4 Easy and Quick Date Night Ideas You Can Do in 1 Hour
Spending time together – even if it is as short as an hour – can make all the difference in the world. I took the thinking out of it and shared some no-fail date ideas anyone can do.
So pick your favorite from this list, grab your partner, and go on a date!
1. Dessert Only Date
This was a really fun idea I came up with for my husband and me when we only had a quick minute to enjoy each other; we would go out just for dessert! Whenever you go out to a restaurant, they typically have the desserts pre-made, so you don’t have to wait too long for the dessert to arrive.
You can also go to your favorite bakery or ice cream spot for a quick sweet bite. This will give you more quality time to catch up and have some fun while you’re eating a yummy treat!
2. Cook-At-Home Date
This is an idea I thought of when finding a babysitter for an extended period of time started to become a struggle.
I have a friend that also has a child, so we started date swaps, alternating between watching the kids while the others enjoyed a nice dinner with their hubby.

This is what we do: we cook dinner at home, then when it’s time to eat, my friend will stop by with her kid to babysit while my husband and I can enjoy a nice dinner alone. Then when we’re done with dinner, which only takes about an hour, she gets to head home before it gets late! We always alternate so we can have some adult time every once in a while.
3. Work Out Session Date
There are so many studies out there that show working out with your significant other does wonders for your relationship, so I’m always trying to do something fun and active with my hubby whenever we get a chance!
Thankfully, we have a gym in our apartment complex so we remove the travel time completely out of the date night equation when we do this quick date night idea. We get to squeeze not only a good workout in but some great quality time and relationship building in as we do paired workouts.
4. Quick Netflix Date
There’s hardly ever time for my husband and I to do a real movie night – who has an entire two to three hours to watch a movie nowadays?
This is why Netflix is amazing! They have so many great shows available, that a nice relaxing date can be as simple as turning on Netflix and watching a quick show together, snuggled up close, of course.

The bonus? No commercials! And no over-priced popcorn. You can make the hour a little more special by assembling some popcorn boxes using free templates too!
If you don’t have Netflix, there’s also Amazon Instant Video too! If you join Amazon Prime you can watch thousands of movies & TV shows anytime! Start your free trial now!
Life can be crazy, but you’re not alone! You have an amazing partner that’s right next to you, in it for the long haul! It’s a part of your obligation to remind each other as often as possible how much you love and care for each other. Whether it’s a quick smooch before heading to work, or a simple and quick date night, remember that every minute counts!

Love these! Especially the dessert one! We usually don’t get dessert when we go out, so it would be fun to go out just for dessert!
