There are few things we look forward to more during our pregnancy than finding out the gender (and well-being) of our growing bundle (or bundles) of joy!
Revealing the gender with family and friends is then half of the fun of finding out the sexes.
Many people lately have been opting into having gender reveal parties, complete with gender reveal ecards, gender reveal dresses, gender reveal cake, gender reveal centerpieces, and more!
But, some people are not party people, or they can’t have a party, perhaps because they are on national shutdown thanks to a new virus.
That’s why some can opt instead for things like sharing gender reveal photos, perhaps ones that involve gender reveal with their kids.
But, here’s a fun idea – mail your friends and family out of state a gender reveal card in the mail that reveals the gender, maybe one with a cute gender reveal poem.
But, an even more fun idea would be to mail them baby gender reveal scratch-off cards!
Making these gender reveal scratch offs is actually way easier than you may think too! To help give you some ideas on how to make them, I found various tutorials and card ideas from the internet to share with you!
And I found some cute ones that you can just order too in case DIYing is not really your thing.
How to Make Scratch-Off Cards
First, I wanted to quickly say that making the scratch-off part is super easy, so don’t be intimidated!
It’s just 2 parts paint to 1 part dish soap mixed together.
You’ll apply that mixture (which so doesn’t have to exactly measured) onto a piece of clear packing tape or clear contact paper, evenly, with a flat brush, letting it dry between coats. That’s it!
You apply the sticky part of the tape or contact paper over the image you want hidden until scratched off, and DONE!
See? Easy!
And if you don’t have paint or want super clean edges, you can also just pick up some 1″ silver scratch off sticker labels instead!
