Learn more about the newest VBAC Book called Baby Got VBAC: An Inspiring Collection of Wisdom for Better Births After Cesarean from one of its authors!

Way back in 2012-2013 when I was pregnant with my son, I was researching everything I could on vaginal births after Cesarean but found there weren’t many VBAC books out there. So, I made due reading birth books instead, research articles and VBAC success stories online, and talking to my medical team.
I had several reasons for choosing VBAC over a Repeat C-Section, primarily wanting to avoid additional surgeries (and its associated complications) and wanting to have a big family (and not wanting to be limited because of too much scar tissue or other issues associated with multiple C-Section births).
When his due date arrived in March 2013, and then I went past it, I was scared all my months and months of prep work would be for naught. We even scheduled the repeat Cesarean, at a day before 42 weeks, praying, and hoping that I wouldn’t need it.
Long story short, I was able to have my successful VBAC of a big baby, 13 days past my due date, after about 38 hours in labor total! It was an amazing journey and moment.

I learned a ton from his birth, but also from the experience of preparing for it. I felt even more confident going into every birth after his! I have gone on to have three more VBAC births – an induced VBAC at the hospital, a VBAC of an over 11lb baby, and VBAC twins!
Every birth I’ve had have been with different doctors, delivered at different hospitals, and over four different states! I have learned so much about finding the right prenatal care team, advocating for your birthing desires, reading the research, and making informed decisions for yourself and your baby or babies.
That’s why I am so excited to share all of my VBAC wisdom in a new collaborative VBAC book called Baby Got VBAC: An Inspiring Collection of Wisdom for Better Births After Cesarean.

This book contains wisdom from 23 different authors familiar with VBAC. Among the authors are everyday moms like myself, birth coaches, doulas, labor and delivery nurses, birth photographers, OBGYNS, and midwives.
This VBAC book is full of healing, knowledge, hope, and inspiration over its 437 pages. There are stories of all different types of VBACs, of support, of research, of wisdom.
This is totally the VBAC book I wish I would have had when I was preparing for my very first VBAC! And I am so honored to be a part of it!
While a vaginal birth is not possible for everyone, nor is it medically the best choice for all moms, or even desired by many, for those who are looking for a different, hopefully better, birth experience after their first (or even second or third) C-Section, it is our hope and prayer that this VBAC book will help you feel empowered in whatever choice you do make.
