Interested in a Bump Box? Here’s is a 2020 Bump Boxes review from a mom expecting twins. You can order a monthly subscription at any stage of pregnancy and it’s a great way to pamper yourself or give a great gift to new mothers. If you’re curious about this pregnancy subscription service, read the review below.
(this review was from 2020 but the information has been verified for 2022 to make sure that the pricing is still the same)
I am currently on my fifth full-term pregnancy, and second twin pregnancy! I like to think I know quite a bit about pregnancy and childbirth and breastfeeding and babies.
And one thing I know for certain, is that this for this pregnancy, I could totally use some pampering.
I am not so young anymore, or so skinny, and my body hurts. A lot. And I still have three more months until I can meet the boy and girl twins floating around inside my belly.
I already feel and look huge and have no idea how I am gonna carry them to term, except by the grace and sustaining power of God (and that is not said sarcastically).
That’s why I’m super excited to have a Bump Box subscription for the first time ever. As an expecting mom, it’s fun to get pregnancy products and a great self-care item or two.
I have received several free baby boxes and samples, and whatnot in the past, and this pregnancy I am trying out several pregnancy subscription boxes, one of which is the Bump Box.
What are Bump Boxes?
Bump Boxes delivers non-toxic, chemical-free, “natural” products monthly specifically for pregnant women and new mamas. The products are tailored to your due date & designed to pamper you throughout your pregnancy.
In each monthly pregnancy Bump Box you get a variety of at least 5 full-size different products, like pregnancy safe skincare, pregnancy-specific food and drink items, and one-size-fits-all maternity wear solutions.
After your baby is born and gets older, you get items included for the baby like bibs, teething rings, etc., along with products for you as you start receiving “Bitsy Boxes.”
Bump Boxes Review
I have received two Bump Boxes so far now!
In my first box, I received the following 6 items and their retail value:
- Glow 9 Organics Foot Soak Salts $15.99
- Glow 9 Organics Bath Soak $5.99 (BONUS ITEM)
- Promise Hydrating Facial Cleanser $19.99
- Face It Makeup remover cloth $9.99
- Bella B Tummy to Toes Cooling Leg and Foot Cream $9.99
- Humble All Natural Deodorant $9.95
The total value of the box was $71.90. Plus there was an offer with a $40 gift card for Green Chef in the box too.
I was really excited about the Humble deodorant. I have been using natural non-aluminum deodorant now for years, but have never tried Humble, and haven’t been loving the one I had been using.
But, after a week or so of using it, I realized that my armpits were red, and not doing so great. So, while I smelt great for 1-2 days, my skin was reacting to the baking soda in the product.
I still will wear it here and there, but not consistently. I now mix it up between my current one and the Humble one.
I used the Glow 9 bath soak on Mother’s Day and it was very nice! The foot soak seems exactly the same, and I look forward to using that soon.
The Bella B Tummy to Toe cooling leg and foot cream is a little greasy, but the aloe in it does provide a little extra cooling relief. It has a nice light natural fragrance as well. I enjoy using it after my showers.
The Promise hydrating facial cleanser is SO runny I feel like I need to be extra careful not to get it in my eyes! It has a stronger citrus smell, which is fine, but doesn’t lather much at all, and just slips all over your face and hands when you try to use it. I wasn’t super impressed.
In my second box, I receive the following items:
- BumpLife Wooden Massager $15
- Daily Concepts Pure Body Sponge $10
- 2 Timeless Beauty Bar Sheet Face Mask $12
- Glow Organics Energize Body Lotion $14.99
- BumpLife Coffe, Chaos, & Cuddles Campfire Mug $14.99
The total retail value of the box was $66.98.
My kids got into this box before me, and thought the massager was a cool “car” toy, and broke off one end within the first day or two of me getting the box.
I don’t drink coffee, so I don’t love the mug as it literally has the word “Coffee” on it, but I figure it would make a cute gift to a friend someday (though I could also return it too).
My husband uses body sponges like this regularly, so I plan to let him use this 100% natural, konjac root sponge.
I really like the Glow Organics body lotion! It’s a huge bottle too, so it should last me a long time. It also compliments the other Glow Organics items I got in the first box (and liked).
I don’t usually use sheet masks, as they seem a little silly to me, but I’ll use it one of these days, or let my tween daughters use them for fun.
Thoughts on Bump Boxes Subscription
Overall, both boxes contained some really good and new products. I haven’t ever used or tried out any of these brands before, so it was exciting to try them out. I also, don’t usually pamper myself with all these products, but it’s good to help me see what natural products are out there that I might like.
Unfortunately, I did not love some of these items all that much but intend to use them as much as I can anyway, to get my money out of these boxes.
I will say though, that with a box value over $60 both times, and a low monthly cost between $35.99-$44.99, isn’t a terrible deal. Plus, they offer so many additional perks for being a member, like extra savings in the shop, free returns, and more.
I think this would be a great gift to receive for sure! If you’re looking for one of the best pregnancy subscription boxes, this one is a winner! This would be great for new moms and it gives fun and practical items. Once you get your first box, you’re going to be ready for the next month right away! Just use what you can every single day and it will help pass the time until the next one arrives.
I think you can totally give it a try! They usually have monthly promos to save 40-50% off your first box and receive a free gift sometimes too. If you use my referral code in this post you’ll get your first month of a prepay subscription for free!

They are really committed to your total satisfaction with your box! If you are not 100% satisfied with any product, send it back for free within 30 days of receiving it! They will happily process a store credit for the amount of the individual product.
