50+ Best Toy Advent Calendars for Kids of 2022

Looking for a toy advent calendar for kids? Surprise them with one of the following advent calendars with toys in them!

Doing an advent calendar with the kids can be super fun. It gets them extra excited for the big day by giving them a little something along the way, whether that’s a treat, a scripture advent calendar, a challenge, or even a toy.

It’s why I like the idea of doing a nativity advent calendar for kids or giving them a new children’s Christmas book each day leading up to Christmas as part of a book advent calendar.

While I’m not crazy about giving my kids tons of extra toys, even for Christmas (we’re pretty minimalist around here), kids truly love toys.

Opening a little window to reveal something new to play with, that will (hopefully) last them a while (as opposed to a small piece of chocolate), is super fun for both the kid and the person giving it and will certainly be far more memorable and exciting as you look forward to Christmas day.

Many of the advent calendars with toys in them happen to be part of toy sets or collections many kids already have and use, making these toy advent calendars a fun way to add to various toy collections.

Other toy advent calendars are based on popular characters from TV shows or movies so you’re sure your kid will love it if they already love those characters.

Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide if toy advent calendars are the type of advent calendar you want to use this year (and no one said you can’t do multiple advent calendars like a random acts of kindness advent calendar, one of these non-candy non-toy advent calendars, or some other Elf on the Shelf Alternatives like a Christian Elf on the Shelf, or other countdown to Christmas activities using DIY advent ornaments). I also do encourage believers to grab a Christian nativity advent calendar in conjuction with a kid-friendly nativity set.

I am simply providing you information on what type of toy advent calendars are out there this year, where you can find them, and roughly how much they cost (prices are definitely subject to change at any time!) should you decide that you do indeed want to spoil your kid just a bit with a fun little toy every day leading up to Christmas.

These toy advent calendars from Schleich are pretty fun as they come with hand-painted, high-quality, super detailed, plastic figurines and playset pieces.

Most are priced around $34.99.

Playmobil Advent Calendars

Playmobil has so darn many toy advent calendars! I found as many as I could online (though realize some are no longer manufactured so they’re more expensive and harder to find) because I love sharing all the options.

Playmobil makes high-quality toys for kids from Toddler (the 1-2-3 series) on up. Definitely worth collecting and having your kids play with again and again.

I decided to remove the sets that are more than like $50 (at current updating of this post) though know there are older collectible advent calendars out there but they can cost $70+.

The ones remaining usually cost around $23-$35.
